A lot of people ask me what toys and craft projects end up being favorites in our house. One of the hits has been these vintage fabric dolls that I made a year and a half ago. My daughter really latched onto hers, and has slept with it every night since, taking it on vacations and all around town. It’s gone a little limp, but she won’t let me add more stuffing because she likes to carry it over her arm. Pretty cute! You never know what they’re going to like.
Here are some of the old photos.
What a cute idea. I’ll have to make one someday.
The twins are getting so big!
Awe, that is so sweet. This post totally made me smile and reminded me of my sister, who used to carry around a handmade dinosaur everywhere she went. Cute, cute!

So simple, so beautiful!!!! LOVE THEM!!!
Awesomeness.. awesomeness in a blog!
And if you had filled it with wheat, you can heat it up in the microwave as a warm snuggly before bed. That shape is perfect (and so cute) as a wheat bag.
Great idea… those two are pretty dang cute too!

Thanks everyone. Great ideas! It would be really cool to make something like this and fill it with wheat for warming. Nice!
I had a rectangular doll that my grandma crocheted for me when I was little that I just loved. I have often wondered what happened to Penny! These remind me of her (sniff)!
What a cool idea, my daughter spotted this as I was browsing your site and loved it-so I think I’ll be trying my own version soon- very cool. :)
