Here is one of my favorite toys from when I was a kid. My mom just found it in the attic. I can’t see any markings on it, but I just learned from my Facebook friends that it’s from Brio in Sweden. Such a great design!
Very short movie below if you want to see it in action!
Love it to. We also have one. My husband have had it since he was a little boy and now my two sons is playing with it.
Cool! So fun to have toys that last for generations!
Joel,
Brio are one of the all time european classics for toys arent they? Oh and loving your book too btw.
Thanks Melanie! Yeah, I’m really looking back into the vintage Brio toys. They’re all fabulous!
Hi Joel! Your blog and book is so inspiring, i really like it! Brio is really popular all so in Finland, my generations think that wood is the best material on the toys. My kids is playing with my 24 years old Brio toys, and they all look like a new, just like your Brio :)
that’s so cute joel!
lol
They are selling these again! I just came across one of these in my neighborhood toy shop.
We kids had one in the early 1970s as well. It is mesmerizing to watch as it rolls!! :-) Here is a current Brio toy which is similar, if anyone is looking for a fun toddler gift. http://www.brio.net/ToPlay/12-36_months/Pull-alongs/30367_AntwithEgg.aspx
