Spelling Worksheet for Summer – Kindergarten

Our twins are starting kindergarten in the fall, and have been really excited about reading and writing. Yesterday morning at the breakfast table, I drew this worksheet to give them a little practice. They were very proud to fill it out. I think we’re going to have a lot of fun practicing over the summer!

If you want to try it out, there’s a printout below. It might be nice to color it in too.

If your kids have any favorite worksheet activities, leave a comment and let me know. I’m definitely going to be making more!

Thanks. This is great. My 5 year old loves spelling words and writing them down on the paper. Any change you will be doing more of these ?

Counting Coconuts, 1+1+1+1, and Confessions of a Homeschooler, along with your blog are 4 that i frequently peruse. You may find some educational inspiration at the others. You could do some amazing things by putting your artful spin on some of the early childhood ideas. As always, have fun!!! and thanks for your work!!!

My 5 year old, soon-to-be kindergartener will love this. She is also enjoying learning from a math workbook this summer. It would be neat to see how you could incorporate your awesome art with numbers, simple addition, counting, etc. for math worksheets. Thanks for sharing your art on the web!
