The very kind and crafty people at HowDoesShe recently invited me to do a craft for them.  I had just picked up a box of brads (the paper fasteners) and was excited to try making a toy with them.  So here is the result.  A funny little dancing deer.  If you’ve never used brads or brass fasteners before, then go to the store and get some.  They’re really cool!  The deer really jumps and dances around with enthusiasm.  My daughter especially loved it.  If you want to try making one there is a template below.  Just cut out the shapes and connect them together with the brads, then tape a string onto the deer and tie it to a cardboard strip.  For more photos and detailed instructions you can check out the post at HowDoesShe.  They did a great job of clearly laying everything out.  Enjoy!

treesandthehouses – Thanks! And I just looked at your blog. Very cool! I love that painted stick you made with the little toy guys on it. My son would love that thing!

Lori – Yeah, the leggings look adds kind of a John Travolta Staying Alive vibe. Nice.

I think I have scanned your entire blog…you have some cool toys, etc. I love some of your line drawings. Will it be alright to print off some of them to use for embroidery? Just for personal use, of course. Love your blog and all the interesting things you make with your twins.

joyfulploys – Thanks! And yes, you may definitely use whatever you'd like for embroidery. I've been thinking about doing some more embroidery on a tee shirt myself. It's been awhile.

    Fanny – Thank you!
