My mom just got her old Pfaff sewing machine all tuned up so I could have it. It’s going to be fun making stuff for the kids. I made the lion this morning, and also an outfit for one of my wooden dolls from a holey Paul Smith sock that I never had the heart to throw away. Cool!

I LOVE those dolls (and the old sock).

I forced myself to figure out my sewing machine recently but my work so far leaves much to be desired, unfortunately.

    Love the blog, nice stuff!

Thanks. Yeah, this sort of project is very easy. I just bought a non-toxic fabric paint pen and drew the lion design on both sides of the fabric, then blew it with a hairdryer for a couple of minutes to set the ink, and then sewed it and stuffed it. That way the drawing can make it look cool, and you don't have to do any fancy sewing!
